LORDSHIP/WORKS SALVATION DEBUNKED
If you believe that works are necessary for salvation then please interpret the following verses for me:
John 6:28-29 28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One he has sent.”
Romans 3:21-26 21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
Ephesians 2:8,9 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9not by works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 3:27-28 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Titus 3:5 He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
2Timothy 1:9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace.
Romans 4:4-5 4 Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
Galatians 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
Galatians 2:21 “I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.”
Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
Galatians 3:22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.
